Foundation Day
POSTED ON Thursday, November 27, 2008 AT 1:06 AM \\
so today was our school's Foundation day. and we have a field demo. you know what? it sucked 'coz i didn't even had memories. gadgets were not allowed! it's very strict in our school. i don't want to have a record because i have an image to take care of, you know, if you catch my wave. it was sort of boring because of the 'no gadgets allowed'. if it was just allowed, i should have brought my cellphone and i should have taken tons of pictures of me and my classmates.

there were many stores to choose from for buying foods. i ran out of money because i think i bought too many. i was tempted to buy because they were so tempting. haha. at least i spent my money for foods and not just stuffs that's unnecessary.

after we danced, i just sat and started reading breaking dawn. i am very fascinated with the twilight saga!

today was our general practice for the field demo tomorrow. it's the foundation day in our school tomorrow so as part of the year to year celebration, every level will be having their own dances to be performed in front of the whole school community. in high school (i'm a freshman), the theme of the dances are different folk dances from different continents/countries. the freshmen will be dancing a Brazilian dance (like Samba), and our costumes are head dress with feathers (we look like peacocks!). sophomores are mexican. and then the juniors are European. and the seniors are african dance.

i'm telling you, our costume is the most hart to do. there are too many things to put. just putting and arranging the feathers in a stick took 1 hour (i'm not kidding). and we needed 10 sticks with feathers. so, 10 hours, or not just. and it didn't end there. we have to put those in a carton, paint the carton, put glitters and put a garter!

i am telling you again, dancing with that head dress is not easy to do. it was really hard. you have to balance it to make sure it won't fall. and you have to be careful when walking or turning around 'coz you might hit other students'. making that costume put us in pressure. the materials were given a week before the field demo, so we have to hurry. good thing the boys didn't have anything to do, they'll just be ordering their maracas, and they got to help the girls (they won't be putting head dresses like ours.. it won't look good since they are boys).

Happy Foundation Day to St. Mary's College of Baliuag!
